Over the past 10 weeks, members and guests alike have put their range estimating and shooting skills to the test at a variety of unmarked 3D animal targets. Each week, target positions and distances changed, requiring archers to constantly change their approach and occasionally their shooting style - to avoid branches, rocks or weeds to get that clear shot - for example.
A special thank you goes out to member Dan Gillespie, who organized and ran the broadhead league. Thanks Dan for making this a great league shoot each and every week!
Well, the final numbers are in, and the winners have been announced for each of the shooting disciplines. Congratulations to the following members who won their division:
- Mens Adult Bowhunter Freestyle - Tony Kasovich
- Mens Adult Bowhunter Freestyle Limited - Jim Martinez
- Mens Senior Bowhunter Freestyle - Terry Whitney
- Mens Senior Recurve - Dave McReynolds
Archers must have shot broadheads and have shot six scores to qualify for awards. Rangefinders were only permitted the last two weeks of league.
Clout Shoot
In addition to the 14 targets around the course, there was also a clout shoot - a single, unmarked yardage target with a nail positioned in the kill zone. Each week, participating archers shot one broadhead arrow at the target. And each week, the archer with the arrow closest to the nail received a single arrow to shoot at the final league shoot in the Clout Shoot Off.

Terry Whitney - 1 arrow
Jim Martinez - 2 arrows
Jeff Goldman - 1 arrow

Unfortunately, Sam Woods and Jeff Goldman were unable to participate in the final week shoot.
With a single arrow during the last shoot, Terry Whitney palced his shot closest to the nail to win the overall Clout Shoot for the 2010 EDHB Broadhead League. Congratulations Terry!
In the chart below you will find the weekly scores for members and guests participating in the 2010 EDHB broadhead league. Each week, archers shoot a total of 14 3D animal targets at unmarked distances.
The scoring is the same as a 3D tournament:
